Rewarding Internship Opportunities!
The Bead Museum in Washington DC is dedicated to the
diffusion of knowledge about beads. We maintain a Permanent Collection,
space for Rotating Exhibits, a Library, and a Museum Shop. We host
lecturers, produce a calendar of events, publish a Newsletter, are
working on a Web site and our first two books. We participate in various
educational community events.
We offer the chance to expand your portfolio or resume with meaningful
work experiences in the following disciplines:
Communications, English or Graphic Design
writing, researching, reviewing for our Newsletter
in the re-design and updating of our Newsletter
and updating our website
Management and/or Art History
with exhibit design, installation, and dismantling
and implementing special events related to exhibits
as docent and working with the public in the Museum
beads and assisting with the accessioning
to evaluate and review books for library patrons
Library exhibits and programs
with cross referencing system
Intern Positions are on a volunteer basis. We will be happy
to assist you in meeting your academic requirements and will provide
references on request.
